Current Board Title : Director of Education
Current Work Title : Vice President, Owned Media
What are your responsibilities with AIMA? Stephanie leads the organization's education and learning initiatives to ensure AIMA is at the forefront of education within the professional marketing community in Atlanta.
How to get involved/help with your team? For education events, we are always looking for speakers who have expertise across channels and unique perspectives. We also love to get volunteers to help out with planning and executing each event. So everything from marketing the event through writing social shares and discussion guides to handling logistics and head counts, we can always use the support!
How long have you been with AIMA? I have been involved with AIMA since 2015 when I first started volunteering with educational events. Back then, I helped to support the Search Special Interest Group (SIG) where we managed two events per year focused on Search specifically.
What’s the biggest value AIMA provides to you? The biggest value AIMA provides to me is access to the community of marketers here in Atlanta which in turn has helped me keep learning and growing in my career.
What’s your number one reason to be involved? Through networking and educational events, you will have an unprecedented opportunity for ongoing education in your field and access to a wide network of individuals to help you grow your career.
What did you get involved with AIMA? I got involved with AIMA to become more active in the community in general. A career goal of mine has always been to build my personal brand and a big part of that is being involved in the Atlanta marketing community outside of my role at Nebo.
Why do you stay involved with AIMA? I stay involved with AIMA because it has helped me grow in my career outside of my company. The connections I am able to make and networking opportunities have been invaluable.
What do you do with your free time? When I'm not working or volunteering with AIMA I'm spending time with my husband and little girl. We love to travel but when we're home we spend a lot of time outside whether in the park, walking the beltline, or hiking trails around Atlanta.
Are you an Atlanta native or transplant? Native of Georgia
What is your dream job? If I wasn't in marketing or had to start all over again I would go back to school to be an architect. The idea of creating something from lines on paper all the way to actual building or structure has always been intriguing to me.
Favorite ATL hangout spot? Grant Park
Best book that you’ve read in the last 6 months? The Woman in the Window
