What are your responsibilities with AIMA? I manage and maintain the atlantaima.org website from a technical standpoint. I am also in charge of managing all of the different marketing technology and communication platforms in use by the AIMA board. In summary, I work behind the scenes to make sure things work :)
How to get involved/help with your team? They should reach out via the volunteer form. Also, I'm at almost every event, so I'd love to talk to anyone who is interested.
How long have you been with AIMA? I've been attending AIMA events since 2007, but I joined the board this year (2019).
What does being involved in AIMA mean to you? Connecting with like-minded folks in Atlanta, Sharing ideas, and getting out of my own work bubble.
How did you get started with AIMA? As I mentioned before, I attended a lot of events over the past 12 years, and then as I became a business owner, an AIMA membership was one of my first investments. I was later invited to speak on a panel, and then later invited to become a member of the board of directors to fill the vacated technology seat.
What’s the biggest value AIMA provides to you? Networking opportunities with marketing leaders in the Atlanta area.
What’s your number one reason to be involved? Networking with good people in a laid-back environment.
What did you get involved with AIMA? Originally to learn since I was new to digital marketing. later, to meet people
Why do you stay involved with AIMA? Great organization. great members, great people.
What do you do with your free time? What free time? Spending time with my wife, Michelle, and our two sons, Mason and Jaden.
Are you an Atlanta native or transplant? Transplant
If transplant, how long have you been here? 18 years
If transplant what brought you here? from where? School - I went to Morehouse College. I am originally from Detroit, MI.
What is your dream job? Taking time off to travel
Something you wish you could do if you had more time? Travel
Bucket list item to do in the next year? Travel to one of the continents I have never been to (Africa, Asia, Australia)
Favorite ATL hangout spot? I've had a drink or two at Fado.
