What are your responsibilities with AIMA? I help plan and execute AIMA’s monthly educational events.
How to get involved/help with your team? Our team could use a marketing rockstar who is detail oriented. And if they enjoy writing, that's a bonus!
How long have you been with AIMA? 1 year
What does being involved in AIMA mean to you? Being involved in AIMA lets me combine two of my passions -- community and events. Not only do I have the opportunity to meet some of the industry's most talented people, but I also have the chance to bring together local marketers to network with each another at our educational events.
How did you get started with AIMA? I was brought on as a volunteer for the educational events last year. When I was asked to take the role as the associate chair for the department, I couldn't say yes fast enough!
What’s the biggest value AIMA provides to you? Expanding my network while hanging out with people I genuinely enjoy being around.
What did you get involved with AIMA? I was encouraged by our president at BrightWave, Raj Choudhury, who was formally an AIMA board member. He said the experience was invaluable for his career and that it would expand my marketing/event skills while meeting great people. He was definitely right!
What do you do with your free time? Cooking, concerts, traveling, adventuring with our two black labs, and exploring all Atlanta has to offer even after 3 years of living here
Are you an Atlanta native or transplant? Transplant
If transplant, how long have you been here? 3 years
If transplant what brought you here? from where? Solely pursuing my passion for graphic design. I'm able to do it pretty regularly in my current job, but I'd love to dive deeper into it one day.
What is your dream job? Solely pursuing my passion for graphic design. I'm able to do it pretty regularly in my current job, but I'd love to dive deeper into it one day.
Something you wish you could do one more time? Travel again in South Africa. I studied abroad in Stellenbosch and went back to visit Cape Town a few years later, but there are still so many things I want to do and see there.
