Board Spotlight : Chris Williams

Current Board Title : Associate Membership Director

Current Work Title : Strategic Account Manager

What are your responsibilities with AIMA? I assist the Membership Director, Paul Carpenter, with any and all membership drive initiatives. The bottom line is to get our message in front of as many people as possible and to drive continuous value to our current members so not renewing isn’t even an option.

How to get involved/help with your team? I always say advise people to, “come and see” for themselves to get a sense of community and comradery that current AIMA members and BoD get to have from event to event. There is nothing like first hand experience. After that, sign up! That is how they can help. Just get in where you fit in!

How long have you been with AIMA? This is my first go round with AIMA so less than one year.

What does being involved in AIMA mean to you? It has been a great experience so far. Kind of like a stretch goal because I didn’t see the immediate impact until I started putting in the work.

How did you get started with AIMA? I was recruited by a good friend, Jae Scarborough

What’s the biggest value AIMA provides to you? The sense of community and networking has really been beneficial so far.

What’s your number one reason to be involved? Life is a quid pro quo so you’ll only get out what you put in. If you want to grow both professionally and personally this is a great way to do it!

What did you get involved with AIMA? I need to sharpen up and professional networking skills and expand my network.

Why do you stay involved with AIMA? I stayed because I saw results.

What do you do with your free time? Read books, watch movies, workout and just enjoy being alive.

If transplant, how long have you been here? 17 years

If transplant what brought you here? from where? I came here from Central Florida (Sanford) a year after I graduated college. I relocated for better job opportunities.
