AIMA is all in for 48in48!
This fall 48in48 will deliver $1.2M of value to Atlanta non-profits by building 48 custom websites for 48 nonprofits in 48 hours. This is a huge undertaking is scheduled to take place the first weekend in October (10/2-10/4) at General Assembly in Ponce City Market.
To do this, 48in48 estimates needing a team of about 160 digital marketing professionals. There will generally be two developers and one designer assigned to build each of the 48 websites, with several other UX designers, content writers, and other digital professionals pitching in across multiple projects. That’s where AIMA comes in.
The volunteers needed to pull off this big, hairy, audacious goal are members of our community and while we regularly come together to learn and have fun, it’s a rare opportunity for us to get to work together and do some real good in the world. At the end of the event, each of the 48 nonprofits will be given all of the files for their new site and will be directed on the next steps toward getting it live. Each nonprofit will receive an estimated value of $25,000 in services.
AIMA is proud to support this wonderful initiative with both our presence (volunteers) and our gifts (money to provide food and sustenance for the volunteers).
