The Business Development Manager is responsible for successfully selling Kellen’s services within the interactive, digital marketing, and PR/communications industries.  Duties include identifying and properly qualifying business opportunities; presenting to executive levels of organizations and preparing formal proposals; and leading negotiations, coordinating the complex decision-making process, and overcoming objections to closure.  The position requires a strong knowledge of business and marketing initiatives for professional services.

This position will provide the opportunity to work closely with our account teams, website developers, graphic designers, and PR professionals to create innovative results-oriented solutions.  The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and ambitious Business Development Manager who will drive new sales revenue in our Atlanta office.

Job Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

 

·         Proven track record of consistently exceeding objectives and sales goals

·         Expertise in selling services

·         Expertise in lead development, including demonstrated success in prospecting and cold calling for new business

·         Outgoing and energetic networker and a “quick-study” able to successfully convey a diverse
range of services to a targeted prospect universe

·         Strong presentation, communication, organization, time management and interpersonal skills

·         Proven ability to self-manage full sales cycle

·         Proven ability to maintain and grow client relationships

·         Strong background and experience implementing essential marketing tactics

·         Strategic and creative thinker

·         Able to manage multiple clients, projects and deliverables simultaneously

·         Highly productive when working independently and can work well in a team environment

·         Highly ethical, and dependable

 

Bachelor’s Degree. 

 

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business environment.

 

Additional experience with any of the following is also desirable:

 

·         Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and web technologies.

·         Experience working with firms offering professional business services.

·         Experience with any of the following target groups -- corporate executives, non-profit organization leaders and senior level association executives.
