AiMA Speaker Policy
AiMA gives speakers an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with a growing audience of marketers,
agencies and publishers. Each AiMA educational event features 3 to 4 speakers covering most areas of e-Marketing and
advertising.
Speakers/Panelists
Speakers or panelists are scheduled by the AiMA Event Chairs who serve on the Board of Directors. Some of our events feature
speakers or panelists from client side, interactive agencies, publishers or a combination of all three. Speakers or panelists
are selected on their insight, leadership and ability to share new research in the form of case studies. Case studies are
preferred and speakers must provide case studies with metrics to be considered as an AiMA speaker. Case studies will be posted
on www.atlantAiMA.org after each educational event. Speakers or panelists who are based anywhere in the United States are
welcome to submit for speaking opportunities at AiMA events. Interested speakers or panelists must express interest at least
60 days prior to the event. Submissions received fewer than 60 days prior to an event will typically be too late as the
speakers are likely already scheduled.
Moderators
Moderators represent an opportunity for industry experts to lead and moderate a panel. Panels require conference calls
with the panelists and AiMA Event Chair one to two months prior to the AiMA event. It is the moderator's responsibility
to ask questions and involve the audience through the interaction of all panelists. The moderator also summarizes the
discussion, highlights key points and ends the session with Q&A.
Event Format
AiMA events are in a panel format or a speaker format. The AiMA Event Chairs determine the format of the events. Each AiMA
event has one hour of networking followed by a 90 minute program which includes Q&A.
Avoid Pitching Your Company
Speaking engagements build awareness for you and your company. The best speakers are those who deliver quality content for
the benefit of the audience. Speakers should not deliver presentations that pitch their company and its services. Speakers
who pitch their companies will not be invited back to speak at AiMA events.
Travel Expenses
AiMA speakers and moderators must pay for their own travel expenses.
Other Speaking Opportunities
AiMA has a robust Scholarship and Student program that matches industry thought leaders with speaking opportunities at
local universities, design schools, and more. Opportunities exist for classroom lectures, presenting to student organizations,
participating and speaking at faculty gatherings and/or career exploration seminars, and large scale speaking events.
If you would like to help shape future interactive professionals, please use the
Speaker Submission form below. If an aligning opportunity arises, we will contact you with details at which time you can choose
to participate.
